ESDEG understands that much learning takes place outside the classroom and that children need to engage in sports and leisure activities in order to improve their overall health and wellbeing. Therefore, both during term times and in the school holidays we organise trips and sporting activities to fulfil the needs. It is especially important in the school holidays to keep children occupied and focused, help them interact with people and escape isolation. In addition, our target is that children and young people using the services of the project enjoy and keep active long after the project has ended. We also like to see people from wider sections of the community to participate in these activities.
We have previously organised trips to universities and museums as wells as theme parks, seaside towns and activity days.
