ESDEG Receives Mayor’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Borough

Earlier this year, ESDEG was honoured to receive a Mayor’s Award in recognition of the organisation’s outstanding service and continued contribution to the borough of Ealing.

The award was presented during the Mayor’s Awards Reception held on Wednesday 25 March 2026 at Perceval House, hosted on behalf of the Mayor of Ealing, Anthony Kelly. The event celebrated individuals and organisations whose work has made a meaningful and lasting impact within local communities across the borough.

This recognition highlights ESDEG’s longstanding commitment to supporting and empowering communities through education, advocacy, wellbeing initiatives, youth engagement, and community-led programmes. Over the years, the organisation has worked closely with children, young people, parents, carers, and local residents to provide support, create opport2unities, and strengthen community connections throughout Ealing.7

ESDEG’s work continues to focus on addressing challenges faced by local communities while ensuring that individuals and families have access to guidance, support, and opportunities that help improve wellbeing and participation within the borough. Through grassroots initiatives and collaborative partnerships, the organisation has continued to create spaces where people feel heard, supported, and represented.

In recent years, ESDEG has also expanded its work around SEND advocacy and parent engagement, supporting families through workshops, community discussions, outreach initiatives, and accessible resources designed to better inform and empower parents and carers. Alongside this, the organisation continues to deliver youth-focused activities, educational programmes, technology initiatives, and wider community engagement projects that aim to support positive outcomes for local residents.

Receiving this award marks an important milestone for ESDEG and reflects the hard work, dedication, and collective efforts of the organisation’s staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters who continue to contribute to its work across the borough. It also serves as recognition of the importance of grassroots organisations in supporting diverse communities and responding directly to local needs.

ESDEG would like to extend its sincere thanks to the Mayor of Ealing and the Civic Honours Committee for this recognition and for acknowledging the impact of community-led work within Ealing.

As the organisation continues to grow its programmes, partnerships, and advocacy work, ESDEG remains committed to supporting local communities, amplifying community voices, and creating meaningful opportunities for children, young people, and families across the borough.
