Women’s Empowerment

Women’s Empowerment Project

This project sets out to both inspire and empower local women in our community as equal members of society and equip them with the necessary skills to exceed in their social, familial, career and academic lives. A majority of the people we work with are refugee women from ethnic minority backgrounds and low socioeconomic situations, already bearing the brunt of racism, classism and of course, sexism too – we aim to empower these women through a structured programme working together to meet their needs, boost their employability, promote integration and social cohesion, and encourage their own self encouragement too.
