Counselling at the Resource Centre to provides a safe and confidential space for people to speak with a trained professional about their issues and concerns. Our counsellor helps people explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours to develop a better understanding of themselves and others whilst coming up with solutions to either make effective changes in their lives or cope with their problems. Offering impartial, understanding and judgement-free conversation, the counsellor may provide information, resources and encouragement as a way to create an all-round positive experience for those who make use of the service. Counselling services mostly work in partnership with the SEND project, but anyone who is emotional distressed will be offered support.
Our services and interventions help children and young people through:
- One- to- one therapy
- Group sessions
- Family interventions
